The Christian school is not an alternative to the government school, but rather, it is entirely different. Ocean County Christian Academy is Ocean County Baptist Church instructing students in the way of life according to Biblical principles. The Christian school views life as a unified whole, rather than a series of unrelated areas. Scripture teaches that Christ is the unifying factor in all of life.

"For by Him were all things created, that are in Heaven and that are in earth...And He is before all things by Him all things consist." Colossians 1:16, 17 "All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made."
John 1:3

With this conviction as its cornerstone, the church aides the parent in fulfilling his God-given responsibility to teach and train the child, Proverbs 22:6. The program of instruction carried out by Ocean County Christian Academy is designed to bring the child face-to-face with the Lord and the world He has created. It is imperative that each child come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Each subject is taught in such a manner that Christ is seen as the focal point. Ocean County Christian Academy supports the home as the first institution ordained by God. Students are taught to reverence and obey their parents. (Ephesians 6:1)

Christian character training is also a prime concern of Ocean County Christian Academy. While teaching students factual material essential for today's world, we will also strive to instill in them character traits, which are necessary to make proper use of their acquired knowledge. Proverbs 1:7 states, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge." It is the teacher's responsibility to serve as a model for the student and not simply as an academic technician. It is our desire to produce well-rounded young people who want to seek and do God's will for their lives and to trust Him for everything.

In addition to honoring Christ at Ocean County Christian Academy, we desire to instill patriotism in every student. America is a great nation because of its Godly heritage. One of our desired goals is to teach the truth about its heroes. We desire that each student will understand his responsibility to his country and his role in maintaining its freedom.

Students are taught to have a reverent and thankful attitude regarding what God has done in and through our nation, and at the same time, gain a realistic view of our nation's problems and God's plan for correction.
